The recyclable lamp by &tradition is the perfect design for the short-lived product world of the globalized throwaway society.
The lamp Trash Me VV 1 by designer Victor Vetterlein for the Danish manufacturer &tradition fits perfectly into today's world. With advancing globalization and the many new opportunities opened up by the Internet, people are becoming increasingly mobile and erratic. Trash Me was designed for the world citizens among us who often change places and have little connection to things - a product whose ephemerality is already reflected in its name. The short-lived lamp is made of molded paper pulp left in its natural gray hue. The three-meter long, red cable provides the loosening color accent. Trash Me can be deconstructed very quickly and sorted by recyclable parts. So if a spontaneous move is in the offing, the lamp can easily be fed into the eternal cycle of recycling. jb
